The global economy has created a wealth of opportunities for recycling and repurposing materials used in the process of manufacture and delivery of goods to the marketplace. One of the forgotten items in the delivery chain is the Shipping Pallet or "Skid". Hundreds of thousands of these Skids are used every day to help transport goods by truck and by rail. Once the goods arrive at their destination, the skids are often discarded and end up filling local landfills.

We are working to repurpose this vast supply of lumber that would otherwise just go to waste!

Hours are spent collecting pallets and sifting through the stacks to find lumber that is salvageable and suitable for reuse. We "harvest" boards from the Skids, cut them to size, remove imperfections, and use them to build the Alpine Craft Works Line. The Products we make with the reclaimed lumber from these pallets are unique... Each item shows subtle signs of the life the wood once led in commerce as the mighty shipping pallet.
